Suzy & James @ the mighty Powerscourt Hotel
Being asked to work in the luxury 5 star masterpiece that is Powerscourt Hotel is a gig not every Wedding Dj in Ireland has on their CV. To be asked by the venues Wedding Planner is quite something else altogether.
Indeed when Suzy approached us to be her Wedding Dj we didn’t have to be asked twice! We had heard so much good stuff about this place and it was with pleasure that we accepted.
Set amidst one of the most historic and scenic country estates in Ireland, a Powerscourt Hotel Wedding is something to behold. To say we were excited for this wedding would most definitely be an understatement!
We were booked to play after the band (Big Digger) and on the night the venue certainly did not dissapoint. Suzy & James’s taste shone though and the room looked nothing short short of majestic. The party that unfolded has to go down in Funky Functions history as one of the best ever. Right from the first song until the chants of ‘one more tune’ the dance floor (which also looked fab) was jam packed.
Our event photographer was on hand to capture all of the fun on the night. Examples of these pics can be seen above and below. This option is standard with all our after band Wedding Dj options and has proved to be immensely popular.
Thanks so much to Suzy & James for inviting us to perform at their Powerscourt Hotel wedding. We had an absolute ball and by the look of the crowd at 2am so did they! Thanks also to all the staff at Powerscourt Hotel for making our experience nothing short of memorable. Here’s hoping we get asked back sometime soon. (*since writing we have been the Wedding Dj of choice in Powerscourt Hotel a number of times. This place ROCKS!)
